3 held for writing pro-Khalistan slogans near Mata Chintpurni Temple in Himachal’s Una

Three youths have been arrested from Punjab for writing pro-Khalistan slogans near Mata Chintpurni Temple in Himachal Pradesh's Una district on November 29, police on Sunday said.

Una Superintendent of Police (SP) told PTI that the accused were nabbed from Dhesiya and Surja villages in Punjab's Jalandhar district for writing pro-Khalistan graffiti.

The three youths were brought to the Chintpurni police station after their arrest, he added.

An amount of Rs 25,000 was deposited in the account of one of the three accused from a foreign nation and he was also promised Rs 25,000 more after the task was done, police said.

The other two accompanied the main accused, police said, adding further investigation is underway.

The three accused, who wrote Khalistan Zindabad and Himachal Banega Khalistan slogans on the walls in the vicinity of Mata Chintpurni Temple, were identified as Phool Chand (26), Arjinder Singh (28) and Harry (21), police said.

A video of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the chief of the banned outfit Sikhs For Justice, surfaced on the internet in which he was seen showing the graffiti on the walls and saying that the Congress leaders allegedly involved in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots would not be spared.

This was not the first time that such an incident has been witnessed in the state.

On May 7 last year, pro-Khalistan banners and graffiti were hoisted on the outer boundary of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly in Dharamsala.

A case under sections 153-A and 153-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 3 of the HP Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act, 1985, has been registered in the matter.

Based on the video clip, Pannun was named as a co-accused and main conspirator in this case and booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Expenses incurred on major public works reviewed

The Vidhan Sabha committee on local fund accounts yesterday held a district level review meeting with officers at the Zila Parishad hall and directed them to submit replies to the pending audit objections within a month.

The committee comprised of Barsar MLA Inder Datt Lakhanpal as its chairman and other local MLAs.

The committee reviewed the expenses incurred and work completed for all major public works of each department which were sanctioned during the last three years.

Lakhanpal directed the departmental officers to ensure that drawings, detailed project reports along with financial details of each work are available before the work is sanctioned. He said the works funds for which were lying unspent for a very long time be listed along with the reasons. Responsibility should be fixed and a report be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner within the next one month. He also directed the officers to ensure good quality of workmanship and material in public works.

प्रथम दर्शन सेवा: मां चिंतपूर्णी के आसानी से होंगे दर्शन, एचआरटीसी 21 अक्तूबर से शुरू करेगा सुविधा

हिमाचल पथ परिवहन निगम (एचआरटीसी) की प्रथम दर्शन सेवा से श्रद्धालु शक्तिपीठ श्री चिंतपूर्णी जी में सुगम दर्शन की सुविधा का लाभ उठा पाएंगे। श्रद्धालुओं को इसके लिए 220 रुपये अतिरिक्त खर्च करने होंगे। एचआरटीसी प्रबंधन इसके लिए जिला प्रशासन ऊना का सहयोग लेगा। एचआरटीसी धार्मिक पर्यटन सर्किट बस सेवा योजना के तहत 21 अक्तूबर से पहली प्रथम दर्शन सेवा शुरू करने जा रहा है। इस योजना के तहत श्रद्धालु 400 रुपये खर्च कर प्रदेश के विख्यात शक्तिपीठ श्री चिंतपूर्णी जी और श्री ज्वालामुखी जी के दर्शन कर पाएंगे।

श्री चिंतपूर्णी जी में सुगम दर्शन के लिए प्रति श्रद्धालु 220 रुपये अतिरिक्त चुकाने होंगे। निगम की 3 बाई 2 हिमधारा एसी बस सुबह 8 बजे धर्मशाला से रवाना होगी। 10:30 बजे बस श्री चिंतपूर्णी जी पहुंचेगी। श्रद्धालुओं को दर्शन करवाने के बाद दोपहर 12:30 बजे बस श्री चिंतपूर्णी जी से श्री ज्वालामुखी जी के लिए रवाना होगी। 2:00 बजे बस ज्वालामुखी जी पहुंचेगी। यहां दर्शन के बाद शाम 4:00 बजे बस धर्मशाला रवाना होगी और 5:30 बजे धर्मशाला पहुंचेगी।

अगर श्रद्धालु पूरी बस की बुकिंग करते हैं तो 10 फीसदी छूट भी दी जाएगी। रास्ते में खाने के लिए बसें एचआरटीसी के चिन्हित ढाबों या पर्यटन विकास निगम के रेस्टोरेंट्स पर रुकेगी। एचआरटीसी के प्रबंध निदेशक रोहन चंद ठाकुर ने बताया कि ''प्रथम दर्शन सेवा'' शुरू करने के लिए सभी तैयारियां पूरी कर ली गई हैं। श्रद्धालु एचआरटीसी की वेबसाइट पर ऑनलाइन और टिकट काउंटर पर बुकिंग कर सकते हैं। ''पहले आओ पहले पाओ'' की तर्ज पर सीटें उपलब्ध होंगी।

योजना से जुड़ेंगे बगलामुखी, चामुंडा, बैजनाथ

धार्मिक पर्यटन सर्किट बस सेवा योजना से प्रदेश के दूसरे धार्मिक स्थलों को भी जोड़ने की भी योजना है। बगलामुखी, चामुंडा, बैजनाथ और बाबा बालक नाथ मंदिर दियोटसिद्ध को भी ''प्रथम दर्शन सेवा'' से जोड़ने की योजना है।

CM dedicates projects worth 56 crore in Chintpurni Assembly segment

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today dedicated projects of around Rs 56 crore in Chitpurni assembly constituency in Una district.

He inaugurated the interpretation centre, tourism amenities complex and integrated car parking at Chintpurni completed with an out-lay of Rs.51.70 crore. The foundation stone of the project was laid by him in August, 2014. The Asian Development Bank funded  project was undertaken by Tourism Department. The two block complex has parking facilities for around 300 vehicles including small and heavy with computerised boom barrier facilities. It houses 12 lifts, right from the three basements upto two floors, a meditation hall, museum rooms, shops, resting areas built over an area of 4722 square metre.

He inaugurated the science block of Government Senior Secondary School, Thathal completed with an outlay of Rs 1.27 crore and building of CDPO office at Amb completed with an outlay of Rs 1.50 crore.

The Chief Minister laid foundation stone of augmentation of Lift Water Supply Scheme (LWSS), Chintpurni to cost Rs.84 lakh. This will benefit a population of around 6000 of seven villages of the region besides facilitating the pilgrims visiting Mata Chintpurni Temple. Apart from this, the temple committee Chintpurni released a sum of Rs 74 lakh for augmentation of the scheme.

Chairman State Finance Commission Kuldeep Kumar welcomed the Chief Minister.

State  Co-incharge of HPCC Ranjeeta Ranjan and Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri were also present on the occasion.

Job fair on 2nd June at Kangar in Haroli Sub Division

The State Labour and Employment Department is organizing job fair on 2nd June, 2015 at Kangar in Haroli Sub Division of Una district. While  disclosing this an official spokesman of the State Government said here today that the job fair would be organized at Kangar ground from 9 AM to 4 PM in which over 100 private sector employers would participate to recruit MBA, B.Tech, Hotel Management, Post Graduate, Graduate and ITI Diploma holders besides 10th, 8th and 5th pass candidates. He said that Industries and Labour and Employment Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri would inaugurate the job fair and would be Chief Guest on the occasion.

The Spokesman said that youth of the State would get opportunity to find job as per their qualifications in different sectors such as welding, mechanic, electronics, electrician, management, pharma, micro biology, textile and chemical etc. He said that most of these vacancies in the job fair were available for candidates in the age group of 18th to 40 years. He said that about 3000 vacancies would be filled up in the job fair.

He said that the eligible and interested candidates would have to bring detailed mark sheets, various certificates including employment exchange registration card in original as well as their Xerox copies besides three passport size photographs. He said that the job seekers were also advised to bring Aadhar card with them.

The spokesman said that further information in this regard could be had from District Employment Officer, Una on telephone number 01975-226063 or at email deo-una-hp@nic.in on all working days.

He said that in the recent past the Labour and Employment Department had organized   25 job fairs in various parts of the State in which 10,307 youth were provided employment.

Hackers from Brazil embezzle 23 accounts of UCO Bank

The authorities of Union Commercial (UCO) Bank today swung into action when as many as 23 account holders of the Una branch complained of the withdrawal of money from their accounts without their knowledge.
According to the bank management, Rs 3.6 lakh was withdrawn illegally during the last three days by alleged hackers, having their roots in Brazil.
Sources said the bank accounts of customers, who had an ATM debit card issued in their names, were hacked.
The bank today blocked all 2,700 ATM debit cards.
The senior manager of the information technology cell, Rajesh Kumar, reached here from Dharamsala to investigate the matter.
Last month’s video footage of the bank ATM, situated outside the branch, and details of all previous transactions of the account holders were scrutinised.
Rajesh said preliminary investigations revealed that the accounts were not hacked using the Internet, but ATM cards appeared to be digitally cloned at a remote location.
He said in all cases the money was transacted using card swipe machines for purchases in Brazil. He said the names of commercial establishments where the cards were used were now known. He said the money was transacted in three cities of Brazil.
“Electronic cloning of ATM cards is done by hacking card information, including secret passwords. The VISA Credit and Debit Card authorities in Chennai have been informed about the case,” he said.
Branch Manager Surinder Singh Agyal said the bank had decided to compensate the customers by crediting the due embezzled amounts into their bank accounts.
He said new ATM cards would be issued to the customers. The bank authorities would also register a complaint with the police in this regard.

Swan River Channelization to be completed in record time: Agnihotri

To give fillip to the ongoing works of Channelization of the ambitious Rs. 922 crore, Swan River Project, the State Government has announced to open one Division at Haroli and two Sub-divisions of Swan Project at Una and Haroli respectively.

Stating this here today, Industries and Information and Public Relations Minister, Mr. Mukesh Agnihotri said that the present State Government had put in sincere efforts with strong political willpower to get clearance for the project in a record nine months period from Government of India (GoI). He said that the circle office headed by Superintending Engineer (SE) had already been set up and with opening of one division office and two subdivisions, the work to Channelize River Swan and its 73 tributaries from Daulatpur to Santokhgarh Bridge would gain impetus. The officer of the rank of Executive Engineer would sit in division office at Haroli and Sub-divisional officers (SDOs) will head project offices at Una and Haroli. He said that the State Government had been successful in getting financial sanctions from GoI well in time and the work on the project was likely to be completed within stipulated time. He said that with the channelization of Swan river and all its tributaries, the people would no more have to suffer devastation due to floods and rather they would witness an era of prosperity and development and would be economically strengthened.

Link your Aadhaar number with your LPG Consumer ID

Preparations are underway to implement Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme for LPG subsidy in 7 more districts of Himachal Pradesh. Chamba, Kangra, Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Kullu, Lahaul Spiti are the seven districts of Himachal Pradesh where the scheme would be extended.

Before this, LPG subsidy through DBT scheme which began from 1st June includes Una, Bilaspur and Hamirpur districts of Himachal Pradesh. The scheme began in the fourth district (Mandi) of Himachal Pradesh from August 1. Government has started Cash Transfer Compliance Customer (CTC) system for more than 70% LPG consumers in the said districts.

For CTC consumers have been given a time frame till 30th September to provide their bank account linked Aadhaar number to their gas agencies. Those consumers would be denied of LPG subsidy from October 1 who will fail to submit their bank account linked Aadhaar number to their gas distributors until the set deadline. Consumer will have to buy LPG cylinder at market price from October 1 while the subsidy amount of 9 LPG cylinders per year would be credited into their Aadhaar linked bank account.

Mining mafia in Himachal Pradesh enjoys political patronage: Virbhadra Singh

Admitting that illegal mining in Himachal Pradesh enjoyed political patronage, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Friday assured the state assembly that his government would soon clamp down on the mafia.
His assertions came about a fortnight after an attempt was made on the life of Yunus Khan, an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and batchmate of the suspended Durga Shakti Nagpal of Uttar Pradesh, who had taken on the sand mining mafia in Gautam Budh Nagar district of her state.

हिमाचल में 11 करोड़ से बनेगा युद्ध स्मारक : अनुराग

ऊना : भाजयुमो के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष एवं सांसद अनुराग ठाकुर ने कारगिल विजय दिवस के 14 वर्ष पूरे होने के उपलक्ष्य में हिमाचल प्रदेश में 11 करोड़ रुपये से युद्ध स्मारक बनाने की घोषणा की है। उन्होंने स्मारक के लिए अपनी सांसद निधि से एक करोड़ रुपये देने की घोषणा की। अनुराग ठाकुर ने कहा कि इस स्मारक को बनाने के लिए वह अन्य सांसदों से 10 करोड़ रुपये की व्यवस्था करवाएंगे। यह दुर्भाग्य है कि अभी तक देश में एक भी राष्ट्रीय युद्ध स्मारक की स्थापना नहीं की गई है।

एबीवीपी ने डीसी को प्रेषित किया ज्ञापन

राकेश कालिया ने सीपीएस पद से इस्तीफा दिया

गगरेट : कांग्रेस की संवैधानिक परंपरा का पालन करते हुए गगरेट विधानसभा क्षेत्र के विधायक राकेश कालिया को एक पद छोड़ना पड़ा है। उन्होंने मुख्य संसदीय सचिव (सीपीएस) पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। हालांकि इसकी अधिकारिक पुष्टि कालिया ने नहीं की है लेकिन बताया जा रहा है कि कालिया को संगठन में राष्ट्रीय सचिव बनाए जाने के बाद उन्हें एक पद छोड़ना था।

मैहतपुर की चार गाडि़यों पर रामबन में पथराव

जागरण संवाददाता,ऊना: जिला के मैहतपुर कस्बे के बीस से अधिक श्रद्धालुओं के एक जत्थे पर जम्मू कश्मीर के रामबन में पथराव किया गया जिसमें चार गाड़िया फंस गई। इस पथराव के कारण कुछ श्रद्धालु मामूली रूप से घायल भी हुए। जम्मू-कश्मीर के रामबन में पथराव करके गाड़ियों के शीशे तोड़ दिए गए। पथराव की घटना से गाडि़यों में बैठे कुछ श्रद्धालु भी घायल हो गए है। उन्होंने बडी मुश्किल से छुपकर अपनी जान बचाई। रामबन में फंसे श्रद्धालुओं ने सेना व जम्मू पुलिस पर सहायता न करने का भी आरोप लगाया है।

ऊना कालेज में हस्ताक्षर मुहिम

ऊना —अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद के कार्यकर्ताओं ने परिषद कार्यकर्ताओं के निलंबन के विरोध में हस्ताक्षर अभियान चलाया। परिषद के इकाई सह सचिव अमन ने बताया कि गुरुवार को कालेज में हस्ताक्षर अभियान शांतिपूर्वक चलाया गया, लेकिन कालेज प्रशासन ने इसे भी बाधित करने का भरसक प्रयास किया। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि परिषद कार्यकर्ता जब कक्षाओं में हस्ताक्षर अभियान के तहत छात्र-छात्राओं से संपर्क कर रहे थे, तो एनएसयूआई के कार्यकर्ताओं व कालेज प्राध्यापकों ने विद्यार्थियों को डराने-धमकाने का कार्य शुरू कर दिया। कुछ कालेज प्राध्यापकों ने परिषद कार्यकर्ताओं को हस्ताक्षर अभियान के दौरान कक्षाओं में जाने से रोका। उन्होंने कहा कि कालेज प्रशासन एनएसयूआई के हाथों की कठपुतली बनकर काम कर रहा है, जो शिक्षा के मंदिर के लिए अपमान की बात है उन्होंने कहा कि विद्यार्थी परिषद के कार्यकर्ताओं को अनुशासन भंग करने के आरोप में निलंबित किया गया है परंतु कालेज प्रशासन बताए कि परिषद कार्यकर्ताओं ने कौन सा अनुशासन भंग किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि छात्र हितों के लिए संघर्ष करना यदि अनुशासनहीनता है, तो परिषद कार्यकर्ता इसे बार-बार करेंगे। पिछले वर्ष महाविद्यालय में सीएससीए एबीवीपी की थी तथा महाविद्यालय में विकास के नए आयाम लिखे गए। महाविद्यालय के गेट तक बसें विद्यार्थियों को छोड़ने आती थी। सभी बसें समय पर चलती थीं, परंतु वर्तमान में कालेज प्रशासन छात्र हितों को दरकिनार कर एनएसयूआई तथा कांग्रेस के छुट भइया नेताओं के सामने नंबर बनाने में लगे हैं।

एक लाख जुर्माना, 12 साल कैद

ऊना — जिला के संतोषगढ़ में पिछले साल पकड़ी गई अवैध चूरा पोस्त की बड़ी खेप के साथ दबोचे गए एक आरोपी को अतिरिक्त सत्र न्यायाधीश राकेश चौधरी की अदालत ने दोषी करार देते हुए 12 साल कारावास की सजा भुगतने के आदेश सुनाए हैं। यह जानकारी जिला उपन्यायवादी अरविंद कुमार नड्डा ने दी। उन्होंने बताया कि 28 जनवरी, 2012 को हरोली पुलिस के सब-इंस्पेक्टर हरजीत सिंह ने अपनी टीम के साथ संतोषगढ़ के जट्टपुर में नाकाबंदी कर रखी थी। इसी दौरान उक्त मार्ग से एक ट्रक गुजरा। पुलिस टीम ने ट्रक को रुकने का इशारा किया, लेकिन चालक मौके से ट्रक को भगा कर ले गया। पुलिस टीम ने कार से पीछा करते हुए लगभग 200 मीटर की दूरी पर ट्रक को पकड़ लिया, लेकिन उसमें एक संजू नामक व्यक्ति छलांग लगाकर भाग निकला, जिसे एक अन्य व्यक्ति मारुति कार में बिठाकर मौके से भगा ले गया। पुलिस ने ट्रक चालक जीवन कुमार निवासी नंगल कलां टाहलीवाल को माल सहित अपने कब्जे में ले लिया। ट्रक की तलाशी लेने पर उसमें लगभग 23 बोरियों में लदी कुल छह क्विंटल 82 किलो 550 ग्राम चूरा पोस्त बरामद किया। बाद में मारुति कार चालक उदय लाल निवासी चितौड़गढ़ राजस्थान को पंजाब पुलिस की सहायता से पंजाब में दबोचा गया। हालांकि साक्ष्यांे के अभाव में उदय लाल इस केस से बरी हो गया, वहीं दूसरे आरोपी संजू का आज तक कोई पता ठिकाना नहीं लग पाया है, जबकि ट्रक चालक जीवन कुमार को सत्र न्यायाधीश राकेश चौधरी की अदालत ने दोषी करार देते हुए 12 साल कारावास और एक लाख रुपए जुर्माना अदा करने की सजा सुनाई है।

ट्रक की टक्कर से मोटरसाइकिल सवार दो युवक घायल

दौलतपुर चौक : नगर पंचायत दौलतपुर चौक में वीरवार दोपहर एक मोटरसाइकिल सवार दो युवकों को गलत दिशा से आ रहे ट्रक (एचपी 72-2604) ने टक्कर मार दी। इससे मोटरसाइकिल सवार युवकों को चोटें पहुंची हैं। बाद में समझौता हो जाने के कारण पुलिस में मामला दर्ज नहीं किया गया है।

बरसाती पानी की उचित व्यवस्था करो सरकार

प्रतिनिधि, ऊना : मैहतपुर-ऊना-अंब एक्सप्रेस हाईवे निर्माण के चलते ऊना मुख्यालय में लोगों की समस्याएं थमने का नाम नहीं ले रही है। मुख्य बस अड्डे सेरोटरी चौक तक सड़क के दोनों किनारों पर बरसाती पानी की निकासी के लिए बनाए जा रहे नाले को लेकर भाई-भतीजावाद का आरोप लगाते हुए व्यवसासियों व स्थानीय निवासियों का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल वीरवार को उद्योगमंत्री मुकेश अगिन्होत्री व एडीसी दर्शन कालिया से मिला। प्रतिनिधिमंडल में शामिल लोगों ने इस बात पर कड़ा ऐतराज जताया कि कुछ लोगों को नाले के निर्माण के दौरान मुख्य ड
