Himachal Pradesh Industries and Technical Education Minister Bikram Singh Thakur today lashed out at the Congress for creating hue and cry on ldquo;baselessrdquo; issues related to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Addressing a public meeting at Shantala today, he alleged that the Congress was speaking the same language as that of Pakistan in order to look for its lost roots in the country.
He said after failing through ballot in the country, the Congress was now ldquo;instigating the youth on communal linesrdquo; and making the CAA its tool to defame the Narendra Modi government.
He said the CAA was in no way against the interest of the Muslims of the country but by spreading ldquo;baseless rumoursrdquo;, Muslims were being forced to take to streets across the country.
He announced Rs9 lakh for the repair of a sarai, construction of a culvert and link road at Shantala.
He inspected the construction of the Gudhara-Chaplah road and instructed officers to maintain quality standards.
He said some water supply schemes for the area costing Rs16.50 crore would prove as a boon for people of Pargpur. He also heard and solved the grievances of people.
