The executive council (EC) of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) today decided to hold the 24th convocation of the university in the first week of May. The Union Human Resource Development Minister will be invited. The date has not been finalised yet.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof ADN Bajpai also approved the recommendation of the selection committee for the appointment of Anjana Thakur to the post of Assistant Professor, Sociology, in ICDEOL. The council decided to fill the vacancies. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof RS Chauhan, MLA Anirudh Singh, Vice-Chairman, HP Handloom and Handicraft Corporation, Chander Shekher and others.
