HPAT decides 8549 cases - Shimla Now

Himachal Pradesh Administrative Tribunal (HPAT) which started functioning from 28th February, 2015 has decided 8549 cases so far out of total 15390 fresh cases received till 31st March, 2017.

A spokesperson of the Tribunal disclosed here today that out of 6400 cases received from the High Court of Himachal Pradesh, 1051 cases have also been finally decided.

He said 189 contempt petitions, 13 Review Petitions, 11 Ex. Pet. and 4359 miscellaneous applications have also been disposed of during this period.

A decision has been taken that the pending oldest matters i.e. pre-2009 will be taken up on priority basis by the Division Benches on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday to clear the pendency. At Present, two Divisional Benches are functioning in the HPAT.
