WITH CHANDIGARH receiving an additional 90 tonnes of garbage from Shimla, Solan and Baddi, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in Delhi Wednesday sought a status report from the Shimla Municipal Corporation asking when their garbage plant would be ready. Jaiprakash Associates, who manage the garbage plant in Dadumajra, while appearing before NGT, sought tipping charges from all those dumping garbage in their plant, including Shimla and Chandigarh authorities. The Shimla MC has been asked to submit a report by February 4.
