Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma launched Bharti Airtel 4G service from Shimla today. He said that from today this service would be available to the people of Shimla as well as the State. This high speed service would benefit the Airtel consumers of the State as it would increase data connectivity speed of the mobile users.
Sharma said that the launch of this service would benefit common people, tourists visiting the State and other organizations. He said that Bharti Airtel had started its services in the State in the year 2000 and launched its 3G service from 2011. He said that now by launching 4G service the company has succeeded in providing fast mobile internet service to the people of the State.
CEO of Bharti Airtel Company Manu Sood said that data service demand was always on rise in the State. He said that the Company was glad and honored to provide 4G service to the people of the State. He said that in future the Company would strengthen its services as per the demand of the people.
Earlier, Airtel had conducted trials of its 4G services in selected cities to get feedback from customers to enhance service experience. Special demo zones and kiosks have been installed at various Airtel Stores in Shimla, the company said.
