A Spokesman of State Government said here today that e-declaration in Value Added Tax format-26 of goods sold costing Rs. 30,000 and above within the State by registered dealers under Himachal Pradesh Value Added Tax Rules , 2005 had been made mandatory.
E-declaration has been made implemented for the manufacturers/ registered dealers of iron, steel, plywood and sunmika from 1st December, 2012.
E-declaration for registered dealers/manufacturers of drugs, electric items, edible oils, marble, furniture and timber has been implemented from 1st October, 2013.
He said that the registered dealers who would not make e-declaration on above mentioned goods would be charged with 25 percent mandatory fine besides fixed tax on the goods.
