The BJP regime will celebrate completion of its two years in office by orgainsing a mega rally here on the Ridge in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior party leaders.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur presided over a review meeting to discuss the preparedness for the proposed rally on completion of two years tenure of the present state government on December 27, 2019. He said that the rally would be held at The Ridge, Shimla, in which thousands of beneficiaries of various welfare schemes of the state government and general public would participate.
Thakur said the party workers and general public from the state would attend the rally which would also be attended by national BJP leaders, ministers and other leaders of the state. He said that effective and foolproof security arrangements would be made during the visit of the Union Home Minister and other VVIPs, besides ensuring that general public does not face inconvenience due to traffic regulations.
The Chief Minister said a booklet and development documentary highlighting the achievements of the state government during two years tenure would also be released on the occasion.
While reviewing the preparations for the ground-breaking ceremony to be organized on the same day, the Chief Minister said MoUs worth Rs 13,790 crore were expected to be signed with 250 entrepreneurs.
Later, the Chief Minister visited proposed rally site at the Ridge and gave necessary directions to officers for making all out effort for success of the event.
