Shimla, December 20
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today directed all officers to make elaborate arrangements for the proposed rally being organised at The Ridge on December 27 wherein Home Minister Amit Shah will be the chief guest to celebrate two years of the BJP government in the state.
Presiding over the meeting to review the arrangements for the rally with top officials, Thakur said a booklet and a developmental documentary film highlighting the achievements of the state government in the past two years would also be released on the occasion. He said welfare schemes should be properly publicised in print and electronic media besides other means of communication so that maximum people could benefit. Thakur said LED screens should also be installed at strategic points in Shimla town besides all district headquarters, so that people could listen to the speech of the Home Minister. He said welcome gates should also be erected at entry points.
Thakur said the aim of the government was to benefit every section of society with special emphasis on those who required urgent attention. mdash; TNS
