A mega multi disciplinary camp was organized at Rohru and Jubbal in Shimla district, today by the department of Ayurveda. The camp includes the specialties of Medicine, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Eye/ENT, Homeopathy, Unani and Ksharsutra surgery. For the first time the Tibetan system of medicine Sowa Rigpa and Siddha specialty of South India had also participated in the camp.
A spokesman of the Ayurveda Department said that the camp was organized by the department under the directions and guidance of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and Ayurveda Minister Karan Singh. He said that the camp was funded by the National Ayush Mission. The team of 20 doctors and paramedical staff of the department of Ayurveda was lead by Dr Dharmila Chauhan and District Ayurveda Officer Shimla. The services of Laboratory, ECG and Yoga Guidance were also provided.
He informed that the doctors had also sensitized the ASHA and Anganwadi workers along with the locals of the area. He said that today the camp was held at Samoli in Rohru where doctors examined and treated 678 patients of the area. He said that the camp would be held in Chirgaon on 21st and Chapoti kurd on 22nd and Hatkoti on 23rd March . The surgery of the patients would be done at Civil Hospital Jubbal.
MLA Mohan Lal Brakta, Vice Chairman Zila Parishad Surender Retka and local Panchayat Pradhan Ratan Chand were also present.
