Himachal CM Virbhadra Singh probe held up by HP HC order: CBI to Delhi HC

The CBI on Thursday informed the Delhi High Court that its probe into the disproportionate assets case against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has been "held up" by orders of the Himachal Pradesh High court, which restrained the agency from arresting or interrogating the CM or filing a chargesheet. The CBI counsel told the bench of Justice Pratibha Rani that the HP High Court's interim order of October 1, 2015, was "hampering" their probe. ASG P S Patwalia, appearing for CBI, also said the agency would file an application before Delhi High Court, seeking to vacate HC's interim order.
