While stating that the judiciary cannot be immune from criticism, the Himachal Pradesh High Court High Court on Wednesday ruled that judges should not be criticised and directed the media to report court proceedings with utmost responsibility and sincerity. “Journalists must take necessary precautions, more particularly, while compiling court proceedings. Disposing off contempt proceedings, initiated suo motu by the court against a newspaper reporter, a division bench comprising Justice Rajiv Sharma and Justice Sureshwar Thakur quoted Supreme Court rulings and made detailed observations on reporting court matters.
