Himachal HC stays vehicle permits issued for sealed roads - Shimla Now

Shimla, Nov 21 (IANS) The Himachal Pradesh High Court on Saturday stayed vehicle permits issued for sealed roads or restricted roads in Shimla. The order by the division bench comprising Justice Rajiv Sharma and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan came after the high court took judicial notice of the manner in which the official vehicle of one of the judges was challaned on November 18 and the official vehicle of another judge was stopped near the Railway Board Building. The bench said as per the act no vehicle except the vehicle of governor, the chief minister, the chief justice and the public utility vehicles as provided under the act shall ply between the Shimla Club to the Lift and between the Railway Board Building to the CTO.
