Snowdon was the residence of Lord Kitchnar (1873-74) the erstwhile Commander-in Chief of British-Indian Army. Snowdon was burnt down some year back and the site is now taken by Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, also called Snowdon Hospital.
