Urban Development and Town and Country Planning Minister Mr Sudhir Sharma stressed that keeping in view the rapid expansion of urban areas in the State, HIMUDA should commit for systematic planning and development of housing colonies. He said HIMUDA should come up with ingenious strategies and innovative solutions for ensuring low cost and quality housing projects.
He was presiding over the meeting of the Board of Directors of HIMUDA here today.
Mr Sudhir Sharma who is also the Chairman of HIMUDA also stressed to follow more aggressive policy for bringing investment through the public private partnership mode and to ensure completion of the projects in a fixed time frame.
The Board approved the proposal of taking up the matter with the Government for transfer of government land measuring 138-11 bighas (16-18 bighas in Mohal Pauti and 121-13 bighas in Mohal Majhola) in Shimla Tehsil through the Urban Development Department under the Infrastructure Development Scheme.
It approved the draft memorandum of understanding under the scheme “Land Owners become Partner in Development with HIMUDA” and the Draft H.P. Housing & Urban Development Authority Lease Policy, 2015.
The Board approved the proposal to abandon the proposed Demand Survey at the locations for which demand is insufficient.
The Board approved the proposal for the appointment of 15 Junior Office Assistant on contract basis from the H.P. Subordinate Staff Selection Board, Hamirpur in the HIMUDA. The approval was also given to the proposal for the appointment of two Junior Draughtsman in HIMUDA on contract basis through the H.P. Subordinate Staff Selection Board.
It also approved the delegation of financial power to various authorities under H.P. Housing & Urban Development Authority.
Vice-Chairman, HIMUDA Mr Yashwant Chhajta, Non-Official member, Mr Vikas Kapoor, Additional Chief Secretary (Housing & UD) Smt.Manisha Nanda, Special Secretary (Finance) Mr Akshay Sood, Director, Urban Development Capt. J.M.Pathania and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
