The results for the Himachal Pradesh Board Class 10 exams will be declared by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE). It is expected to be declared by May 18. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education conducts the High School, i.e., Class 10 and Higher Secondary, i.e., Class 12 examinations in the state every year. This year, approximately 11 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examination. The board was founded for the promotion and development of Secondary Education in the Himachal Pradesh.
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education was established in October 1969 and subsequently began the process of conducting examinations.
HPBOSE has the power to regulate, supervise and control school education in Himachal Pradesh. Its primary function is to prepare academic programmes and organise examinations, especially for Class 10 and Class 12.
The main purpose and duties of the board are to recommend the syllabus, propose rules and specify courses of instruction and textbooks, teaching by correspondence courses, recognition of higher school and higher secondary schools in Himachal Pradesh.
