Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh congratulated the State police team and the intelligence agencies for making a breakthrough in Lord Raghunath idol theft case.
Expressing his pleasure over the rare feat, the Chief Minister said that the century old idol of Lord Raghunath and other idols were stolen from lord Raghunath temple in Kullu district last month which were buried under the soil by the burglars somewhere in Kullu town and at Bajaura on border of Kullu and Mandi.
Lauding the efforts of the HP Police team along with the State and Central intelligence agencies, the Chief Minister said that it was with the help of CCTV footage and tracking of mobile phone of the suspect by the Himachal, Nepal and Delhi Police that the main accused was arrested from Nepal. The suspect divulged the entire information after being interrogated. The person involved in the theft is of Nepali origin named Nar Bahadur.
The Chief Minister congratulated the people of State and especially that of Kullu valley for the recovery of chief deity of the region, in which the people of the valley had unflinching faith.
