The Department of Fisheries is organising ‘Him Fish Festival’ in association with National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) Hyderabad, Department of Tourism & Civil Aviation & HP, Aquaculture, Fishing & Marketing Society, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh from 20th to 21st October, 2013 at Himachal Bhawan, Chandigarh.
The main objective of this festival is to highlight the nutritional value of trout fish. Shri Thakur Singh Bharmouri, Minister of Forests and Fisheries will be the Chief Guest during the inaugural function and Shri Tarun Shridhar, Principal Secretary (Finance, Forests & Fisheries) will preside over the function.
Disclosing this at Chandigarh today, Shri Gurcharan Singh, Director Fisheries said that the successful transference of Rainbow Trout Farming Technology under the Foreign aided project had raised new avenues in ameliorating income of hill people by trout farming.
