A naturalist Navneet Chowfla has sought shifting of fire brigade to the nearby old bus stand premises, a place out of the thick of the district headquarter town of Chamba.
In a press statement here today, Chowfla said that the fire brigade premises could be utilized for housing the proposed passport office, tourist information centre and reading room for the older persons in the town.
Since the present fire brigade is housed in a heritage building, it could become lively and purposeful, Chowfla suggested, adding that the move would open up sufficient space for movement of people.— OC
