A 26-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at Hardehi Salaiti village of Pragpur here yesterday.
Jwalamukhi Sub Divisional Police Officer Tilak Raj today said Neeta Devi who was married in 2016 and had a 10-month-old son. "We are told she consumed poison and died in the civil hospital. The body has been sent for the post-mortem and the report is awaited. We have arrested Neeta's husband, brother-in-law and his wife," he said.
Raj said Neeta's mother had lodged a complaint that her daughter was tortured by her in-laws for dowry and was forced to commit suicide. — OC
