Activists of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) today led a rally in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at the Una district headquarters.

In all, 15 other organisations, including the Una units of the BJP, Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal, Balaji Kranti Sena, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, BJP Yuva Morcha and Sanyukt Beopar Mandal besides some religious and social organistions, extended their support to the rally.

The activists marched from Indira Gandhi Stadium to the Una municipal park raising slogans in support of the CAA. At the municipal park, a public awareness campaign was held where BJP state president Satpal Singh Satti and Rural Development Minister Virender Kanwar were also present.

VHP state general secretary Sunil Jaswal appealed to people not to be misled by the false propaganda of the Congress and Left parties against the Act. He said the CAA had no provisions to snatch Indian citizenship from any person.
