25 Kerala students hurt in bus mishap

As many as 25 persons were injured when a bus they were travelling in overturned near the Gambharola bridge on the Kiratpur-Manali national highway near Bilaspur.

The injured were rushed to the Bilaspur Regional Hospital. It was learnt that the bus was carrying 52 persons, including 49 college students and three teachers. They had come from Kerala and were going to Manali on an educational tour. In all, 25 students suffered injuries and the condition of two of them was said to be serious. The students belong to the Sat Mangalam MES College of Calicut in Kerala. The seriously injured students were rushed to the PGI, Chandigarh.

Sakshi Verma, Superintendent of Police, said a case had been registered and investigation was underway. Subhash Thakur, MLA, Bilaspur Sadar constituency, also visited the hospital.
