Shimla trading body boycotts Chinese products

In the wake of China supporting Pakistan by blocking India's bid to designate Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar as a terrorist at the United Nations (UN) and stonewalling India's entry into the Nuclear Supplier Group, traders in Himachal Pradesh, just like the rest of the country, have decided to impose ban on Chinese products.
President of Shimla Beopar Mandal, Inderjeet Singh, said the traders had been asked to minimise the imports from China and instead promote domestic products. Every year Chinese products like fancy lights, crackers and a host of decorative items flood the markets, but people are seeing supporting the ban.
