Five special teams, each led by the chief electoral officer of a state, will arrive in West Bengal in an Election Commission initiative to monitor the elections. Anil Kumar Jha of Karnataka, Narinder Chauhan of Himachal Pradesh, Nidhi Chibber of Chhattisgarh and Dr Chandra Bhushan Kumar of Delhi will examine the poll preparedness of various districts assigned to them. Each CEO-led special team will comprise five members, the others being a deputy or joint CEO, an IPS officer and two officials of the Election Commission.
