A spokesperson of the Horticulture Department disclosed here today that more than three crore apple boxes had been exported to various markets from the state. He said that 31,758.800 metric tonnes of apple had been procured under Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) by HPMC and HIMFED up to 14 October, 2015.
He said six more collection centres had been opened in the higher reaches of the apple producing areas to facilitate the fruit growers and as on now 269 collection centres were functioning under MIS in the State.
