The State Government would open 275 procurement centres under Market Intervention Scheme as per demand of the fruit growers in apple belts of the State during current apple season out of which 95 collection centres have been opened so far.
A spokesperson of the Horticulture Department disclosed here today that 7924 trucks carrying 35, 66,116 boxes of apple had been exported to the markets. He said that 525.080 metric tonnes of apple had been procured under MIS by HPMC and HIMFED upto 12th August, 2015.
