New Block to be constructed at Theog Hospital

Solid Waste Management Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh said that old block of the Theog Civil Hospital would be replaced by constructing a new block. The new block would be inter-connected with the main hospital building.
Shri Virbhadra Singh, who was on the way to Rampur Bushahr today, made this announcement while addressing a public gathering at Theog. People in large number including senior leaders and workers of the Congress Party gave a rousing reception to the Chief Minister at Theog.

Chief Minister said that he had laid foundation stone of new bus stand at Theog during his previous tenure as Chief Minister and construction work of new bus stand would be started soon. He said that a by-pass road would also be constructed to decongest the traffic in Theog market.
Shri Virbhadra Singh said that State Government was committed to provide better road facility to the people and maintenance of rural roads was being given added priority to facilitate the farmers and fruit growers. All roads were kept open during this year despite heavy rains which ensured hassle-free and timely transportation of apple and vegetables from different parts. Even in Kinnaur district, which suffered extensive damages due to heavy rains, land slips and cloud bursts, the roads were opened on war footing.

He said off-season vegetable production was turning as backbone of the rural economy and Theog area had emerged as major contributor in off- season vegetable production. The Government was ensuring better marketing and other facilities to the farmers in the State enabling them to sell their produce at remunerative prices. He expressed happiness that the vegetables from Theog area were being exported to different parts of the country and even upto Pakistan as well.
Member of Parliament, Smt. Pratibha Singh, President, Himachal Pradesh Sports, Culture and Environment Association, Shri Vikramaditya Singh, Chairman, APMC, Shimla and Kinnaur, Shri Mahender Sataan, other senior congress leaders and prominent people of the area were also present on the occasion.
