Smt. Urmila Singh, Governor and Shri Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister have felicitated the people of the State on the occasion of Janamashtami.
Smt. Urmila Singh said that Janamashtami was a sacred occasion for Hindus which was celebrated with great fervour throughout the Country. She said that the teachings and philosophy of Lord Krishna were more relevant in the present context and we all should follow them to lead a successful life.
Shri Virbhadra Singh said that the philosophy of Lord Krishna enshrined in Bhagwad Geeta had attracted the attention of entire world which was the beautiful revelation of life wisdom. He said that the Geeta was virtually the quintessence of Hindu scriptures and religious philosophy.
