Industries and Technical Education Minister Bikram Singh Thakur said today that balanced development in every part of the state was the priority of the state government.
He was addressing a public meeting at Ghati Vilwan in the Jaswan Pragpur Assembly segment. He said the needy had no party alliance but they need help at the time of distress, which the government was providing.
The minister said that to help the poor, the government had launched the Sahara Yojana, old-age pension scheme, widow pension scheme, Grahani Suvidha Yojana, Him Care Yojana and other such programmes. He added that Rs 2.5 lakh was given to needy people of Ghati Vilwan. "Besides, people in the constituency are being provided basic amenities," said Thakur. He announced Rs15 lakh for a 'Samdayak bhawan' in the area. "The Jaswan Pragpur area has witnessed development after a long gap and people will soon get all facilities on their doorsteps," said the minister.
He said by opening a polytechnic, pharmacy college, Kendriya Vidyalaya and a model ITI in the constituency, the area would be converted into an educational hub. He also listened to people's grievances.
