The BJP charge-sheet committee today claimed to have found clinching evidence of alleged corruption by ministers in Virbhadra Cabinet, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) and chairmen of various boards and corporations.
Addressing a press conference here today, Nahan MLA Rajeev Bindal said the charge-sheet to be addressed to the President of India and Governor will have explosive information, regarding alleged irregularities committed by the corrupt Congress regime. “The information being included in the charge-sheet is based on the inputs collected not just from party workers but also the public in general,” remarked Bindal.
Bindal today collected important information to be included in the charge-sheet at a meeting of the Shimla and Mahasu districts of the party at the state BJP Office. “A clear pointer towards the level of corruption is evident from the fact that there have been serious financial irregularities in the snow clearance work that is undertaken during the winters in Shimla district,” he alleged. He said this pertained to Rohru, Chopal, Jubbal-Kotkhai, Shimal (Rural) and other areas of the district.
He also added that the tarring of roads undertaken in parts of Shimla district has worn off within 15 days after the work was completed. He said sub-standard work seems to have been undertaken in these areas, including Rohru, Chopal, Jubbal-Kotkhai, Shimal (Rural) and other areas of the district.
He also alleged irregularities and nepotism in recruitment in the Cooperative Bank to favour near and dear ones of higher ups.
“Three persons had died in a building collapse in Hatkoti near Jubbal, but the inquiry report has been brushed under the carpet to save some people from action,” he alleged.
He said that there had been no action against some other persons who had raised unauthorized structures and still no action had been taken against them. Some Congress leaders and office-bearers had constructed private buildings, which had now been taken on hefty rent by government departments, he added.
