Vice President arrives at Shimla - Shimla Now

Mr Mohammad Hamid Ansari, H.E. Vice President of India alongwith his wife Smt. Salma Ansari today arrived at Shimla.

Irrigation and Public Health Minister Smt. Vidya Stokes, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, who is Minister-in-waiting Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil and other senior officers of the State Government received Mr Ansari at Annadale helipad Shimla.

The Vice President was later received at Raj Bhawan Shimla by Mr Sanjay Gupta, Principal Secretary to Governor on behalf of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Shimla Mr Sanjay Chauhan, Chief Secretary Mr P. Mitra, DGP Mr Sanjay Kumar, Officer Commanding in Chief, ARTRAC Lt. General Raman Dhawan, Vice Chancellor, H.P. University Shimla Dr. A.D.N. Bajpai, Secretary, GAD Mr Mohan Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner, Shimla Mr Dinesh Malhotra, Additional Secretary, SAD Mr Ashwani Sharma and other senior officers of the State Government were also present on the occasion.
