Two more patients — a 47-year-old man from Sanjauli and a 47-year-old woman from Anni — today tested positive for swine flu at the Indira Gandhi Medical College and hospital (IGMC), taking the total number of patients to 37.
According to Senior Medical Superintendent, IGMC, Dr Ramesh Chand, as many as four suspected cases of swine flu were tested at hospital today, out of which two tested positive.
He said as many as seven patients have been admitted in the isolation ward of the IGMC for treatment of the deadly influenza.
He said as many as 136 suspected cases of swine flu have been tested at the IGMC, out of which 37 patients tested positive. The death toll due to swine flu in the state remains eight till today, health officials said.
