A Spokesman of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission said here today that a news item appeared in section of press regarding crashing of web portal of the Commission on 1st February, 2014 due to which the candidates were unable to apply for HP Administrative Services (Prel.) Examination, 2013 was not based on facts. He said that the web portal of HPPSC did not crash as had been claimed. The fact is that a record number of 43379 applications were received online during the said period. This figure includes 1719 applications which were received from 5.00 PM to 11.59 PM on 30.1.2014 (The last date fixed for receipt of applications).
It is also clarified that at no point of time did any candidate complain to any officer of the HPPSC either on 31.1.2014 to 1.2.2014 ( the days subsequent to the last date fixed for online submission of applications) regarding the same and their inability to submit applications online.
The candidates are advised to directly access the web portal of the H.P. Public Service Commission (http://www.hp.gov.in/hppsc) in all matters relating to the Commission while submitting online applications.
The candidates may contact toll free telephone number 1800 180 8004 besides 0177-2629738 in case of any difficulty they face in the matter relating to submission of online application or any clarification they require.
